6/27/2023 0 Comments The heroes of olympus book 1![]() ![]() Rick Riordan weaves even more Greek mythology into his young adult / Children's Fantasy story in addition to exploring Roman mythology as it adopted the Greek. Three awesome and highly engaging books to start off the sequel series Percy Jackson. He irritated me pretty much the entire series. Instead, Riordan decided to pretend like Nico hadn't been accepted or made any friends, and he became more whiny and obnoxious than he had ever been. After Nico made friends and was accepted by the camp, I expected him to be a cool character. ![]() After the end of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, I was really excited to see Nico. The only thing I really didn't like about this series was Nico. I'd love to seem them again in another story. ![]() Where as Percy/Annabeth are a minor aspect of the prequel, it's more of a major plot element in this series and I grew to adore those two together. Seeing all the demigods grow into their own and work together was a lot of fun. What's fun is that this knowledge is weaved into the background of the story. I figured my Greek mythology knowledge was pretty good, but I learned more about life previous to the Greek gods in this series. The new cast of characters are wonderful, and I love seeing the old cast a bit more mature than when we last saw them. I liked the Heroes of Olympus a lot more than Percy Jackson and the Olympians. ![]()
